Coventry midfielder Carl Baker faces a spell on the sidelines after rupturing ankle ligaments.
Baker sustained the injury in last Monday's defeat at Ipswich and was forced to miss the weekend draw with Reading.
Scans have shown that Baker has ruptured his ligaments and faces up to five weeks out of action.
Baker does not require surgery on the problem, but his absence will further stretch the limits of manager Andy Thorn's lightweight squad.
However, City have recently been boosted by the return of midfielder Gary Deegan from long-term injury.
