Whites look to bring Woodgate, Bowyer and Smith back to Elland Road
Leeds United are trying to bring Jonathan Woodgate, Lee Bowyer and Alan Smith back to Elland Road,
skysports.com understands.
The former United trio have already been linked with returns to West Yorkshire but now moves are afoot to try and seal the deals.
Between the three of them, they have played over 500 games for Leeds and signing them would be a huge appeal to the club's fans.
All three are available on free transfers, but all would be coming down from the Premier League which could make their salary demands hard to meet.
However, Leeds appear confident they could do a deal for three.
Woodgate, 31, and Bowyer 34, are on free transfers after leaving Tottenham and Birmingham, respectively, at the end of last season.
Smith, 30, is currently contracted to Newcastle United, but he has been told he can leave for nothing.
Sky Bet are
offering odds of 9/2 that the trio return to Elland Road in the summer.
