Yeovil manager pleased with striker

Yeovil manager Terry Skiverton has admitted he does not want to praise Dean Bowditch too highly in case he alerts other clubs. The striker scored a brace in Saturday's 4-1 victory over Wycombe to help the Glovers end their eight-game losing streak on the road. Skiverton was pleased with the display of his side and conceded that he could face a fight to keep Bowditch if he carries on performing. "I don't want to big-up Dean too much because you know what it's like in this league, you'll get one of the big boys come and take him away," said Skiverton. "But we know the qualities that he does bring, he can go off of people's shoulders and he has got that little change of pace that takes him away from people.

Handful

"He definitely showed that - he's always a threat and a handful." Skiverton added: "There's a few of our lads who have been talking the talk, the ones that have not been involved. "They were given an opportunity (against Wycombe) and I feel that they have taken it. "We're a million miles from the finished article, but we're learning every game."
