Wrexham are close to re-signing Craig Morgan from Milton Keynes Dons on loan.

The young defender originally left the Welsh club in 2005, but has made just four appearances for MK Dons this season.

After appearing in Wales' Euro 2008 qualifier against Cyprus last week, Morgan is now nearing a return to The Racecourse Ground.

MK Dons boss Martin Allen feels the one-month arrangement will be of great benefit to the 21-year-old.

"I have agreed with Wrexham that Craig Morgan can go on loan for one month to get some competitive games under his belt," Allen told the club's official website.

"Craig did very well in last week's international, but I have a big squad and for some of these lads they need to get out and get competitive games to help them, which of course in the long term will help us."

Meanwhile, Allen has also allowed midfielder Joe Tillen to link up with non-league Thurrock on loan.
