Wrexham have signed Wales international defender Craig Morgan on a month's loan from League Two rivals Milton Keynes Dons.

The centre back comes back to The Racecourse Ground for the first time since leaving The Dragons for MK Dons in the summer of 2005.

The North Wales club are in need of reinforcements in their back-line, with Steve Evans (dead leg), Shaun Pejic (Achilles) and Lee Roche (hamstring) all sidelined.

After failing to land a regular place in Martin Allen's first team, Morgan hopes to play more football with his old club in the next four weeks.

"I'm delighted at the opportunity and after travelling up to Wrexham on Saturday with the first team, it was good to meet some old friends again," Morgan told the club's official website.

"I got a good reception from people inside the club and I'm now looking forward to the next month and playing again."

Meanwhile, Dragons captain Neil Roberts is set to miss the next four to six weeks of action after needing an operation on a persistent ankle injury.
