Milton Keynes Dons striker Aaron Wilbraham has rejected the chance to join Peterborough United on loan.

Posh thrashed out a deal with The MK Dons, but the 26-year-old opted against a switch to League Two.

The former Stockport County man wants to fight for his place at The National Hockey Stadium rather than drop a division.

Wilbraham has three League One goals to his name this term, but has gone seven league appearances without finding the back of the net.

Posh were hoping the striker would bolster their promotion bid, although they will now have to look elsewhere for reinforcements.
