WIMBLEDON have taken former Bolton goalkeeper Steve Banks on trial as they look for a replacement for Kelvin Davis.
With Davis leaving The Dons for Ipswich, Wimbledon are short of options between the sticks and they are ready to put Banks through his paces to see if he can be the answer to their goalkeeping problems.
Banks is looking for a new club after being released by Stoke at the end of last season.
The 31-year-old had been on trial at Macclesfield earlier in the summer, but he rejected the chance to join them on a permanent basis as he had an offer from an unnamed Division One side and that has now been revealed to be Wimbledon.
