WIMBLEDON keeper Neil Sullivan believes matches against the likes of World Champions France and the cream of European football will strengthen Scotland`s resolve for the forthcoming World Cup 2002 campaign.

The Scottish number one relishes the challenge of keeping the world`s best at bay despite having been forced to pick the ball out of his net twice in Wednesday`s defeat by France but he insists that the experience is invaluable for his own future as well as Scotland`s.

Sullivan is certain to add to his 14 caps against Holland at the end of next month.
