Mark Cooper has labelled the late melee in Swindon's loss to Notts County as 'a total shambles' and unlike anything he has ever seen.
The Robins lost Saturday's game 2-0 but finished with nine men after Troy Archibald-Henville and Nathan Thompson were sent off after scuffles in their penalty box in the dying seconds.
Referee Richard Clark also handed out four yellow cards after consulting his assistants and Cooper was lost for words.
"It's a total shambles,"he told the Swindon Advertiser. "I don't think words can describe that.
"Watching football for 30-odd years, I've never seen anything like that.
"When both benches are stood laughing and joking about the performance of the officials, you don't see that for a long time.
"I thought he (Clark) was playing bingo at one point, trying to get a full house with all of our players being booked. I'm sure the assessor will have plenty to say on that."
