Swindon have signed centre-back Jack Stephens on loan from Southampton until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old defender goes straight into the Robins squad for Saturday's West Country derby against Bristol City at Ashton Gate in League One. Stephens moved from Plymouth Argyle to Saints in April 2011 for a fee of £150,000. Although he has made only senior appearance for Southampton - in their 2-1 FA Cup win at Coventry in January 2012 - he recently signed a contract extension that will keep him at St Mary's until summer 2017.
