Swindon Town have confirmed that defender Aden Flint has had a transfer request rejected by the club.

The 23-year-old centre-half has told the League One outfit that he wishes to leave by submitting a written transfer request but the club have officially confirmed it has been turned down. Flint arrived at the Robins in 2011 and has gone on to make 77 appearances, scoring seven times, the most recent a dramatic play-off semi-final equaliser against Brentford. Swindon officially announced last week that they have taken up the option on a one-year extension to the defender's contract.
