Boss spurred Glovers revival

Image: Johnson: Sparked team recovery

Gary Johnson revealed his half-time team talk helped Yeovil come from behind to claim a 2-1 victory over promotion hopefuls Brentford.

Johnson hailed his team's success as a "massive result" which kept the Glovers clear of the relegation zone, yet Brentford seemed in control at the interval. The Bees dominated the first half and deserved the 24th-minute Sam Saunders goal that gave them a half-time lead. However, two second-half goals from Andy Williams, the second coming three minutes from the end, completed the turnaround. Johnson, angry at the first half display, said: "I had to have a lot of say at half-time because they (the players) weren't having anything to say. I told them it wasn't good enough. They can respond and they did respond." But Johnson did reserve some praise with how his defence dealt with the threat of Clayton Donaldson and Gary Alexander. "A lot of Championship sides would like that pair, and some would probably like our front pair as well," he added.
