Di Canio wants Comazzi resolution

Paolo Di Canio is to meet with the FA to request that Alberto Comazzi's suspension is lifted before the season starts.

The Swindon player was sent off in an Italian cup tournament while playing for La Spezia last August and is set to miss Town's first game at home to Crewe. Di Canio told the Swindon Advertiser: "It is an incredible situation. "He was sent off in a tournament equivalent to The Johnston's Paint Trophy. He was sent off there in Italy and he played all those games in the league, then they tell me he will miss the league here." Di Canio plans to clarify the situation by speaking to the FA. He added: "We will see and if they confirm he cannot play the first game then no problem because Aden (Flint) played well against Reading."
