Kennedy eager to impress

Swindon's Callum Kennedy is keen to make up for lost time after making first appearance in nine months at the weekend.

The left-back was a second-half replacement for Michael Rose against Brentford after being ruled out with a pelvic injury. Kennedy last experienced first team action on November 7 2009 in the FA Cup first round against Woking, but looked calm and assured against the Bees on Saturday. "It was brilliant, just to get back out and play is a good feeling," the 20-year-old told the Swindon Advertiser. "It felt like it had been a long time and hopefully I can kick on from here. "I feel fit and on top of things now. I was doing all the running in pre-season, but it's now just a case of getting game time."
