Archibald-Henville in no hurry

Exeter's Troy Archibald-Henville will not rush his return from a knee injury, insists manager Paul Tisdale.

Grecians stopper taking recovery one step at a time

Exeter defender Troy Archibald-Henville will not rush his return from a knee injury, insists manager Paul Tisdale. The 21-year-old stopper, who arrived at St James Park from Tottenham in February following a successful loan spell, has been sidelined for the past six months with a knee cartilage problem. Tisdale has revealed the player is making good progress, but insists he will take his time in regaining complete fitness. "Troy's okay. He came through the first week of training very well but had a small reaction, which I suppose is to be expected when you have been out for a long time and have had an operation like he has," Tisdale told the Express & Echo. "He's been out for six months or so and we want to make sure we don't rush him. We are just cautious of all the little aches and pains he has and making sure we don't push him too quickly."

Speculation

Meanwhile, Grecians captain Matt Taylor returned to action following minor toe and knee operations in last week's pre-season friendly against Clevedon. And Tisdale has moved quickly to silence speculation that the defender is poised for a move to Swindon. He added: "There's no truth to that (Swindon's interest). No, there's no truth at all. I can't say anything about nothing. There's nothing there to comment on."
