Midfielder in Wilson's sights

Skysports.com understands Swindon are lining up a move for Colchester midfielder David Prutton. Prutton is out of contract at the end of this month and a number of clubs are monitoring his situation. Colchester are keen to keep the former Southampton man after he scored three goals in 19 appearances for the Us last season. Brighton have confirmed their interest in the former Leeds man, but Swindon are hoping to steal a march on their League One rivals by luring him to the County Ground. Swindon boss Danny Wilson is a big fan of Prutton and sees him as a key addition to his squad as he looks mount another promotion bid next season. Colchester chief John Ward admits he is resigned to losing the experienced performer. "It looks like he may be going elsewhere at this moment in time, and if that turns out to be the case we will consider the other options that we're looking at," said Ward. "I would like to re-sign him and will be speaking to him but it looks like he could move somewhere else."
