Millwall defender Darren Ward has been rewarded with a new three-year contract with the Championship club.
The 31-year-old centre-half made 30 appearances after signing permanently from Wolves in the January transfer window following a successful loan spell.
Ward told the club's
official website: "I'm delighted to be staying at Millwall for the next three years.
"I've played for four other clubs, but sometimes as a player you know where you belong and this is a club where I feel totally at home."
Morison
Meanwhile, the Lions have denied last season's top goalscorer Steve Morison is poised to complete a move to Leicester.
Morison, who fired 23 goals for the Lions last season, has been linked to a £1.5million switch to the Walkers Stadium, but Millwall chief executive Andy Ambler insists the reports are wide of the mark.
Ambler told the
Southwark News: "It's all rubbish. Steve Morison is our player and has two years left on his contract.
"The only conversations I've had with Steve are about how how much he's looking forward to playing in the championship with Millwall."
Ambler, who confirmed he had spoken to Leicester counterpart Milan Mandaric about the rumours earlier in the week, added: "He's (Mandaric) one of my best mates in football.
"We discussed it and neither of us knew where it had come from."
