Millwall have released Ali Fuseini and Jason Price following the club's promotion to the Championship.

Fuseini and Price not offered new contracts

Millwall boss Kenny Jackett has decided to release Ali Fuseini and Jason Price following the club's promotion to the Championship. Jackett is busy planning for a campaign in the second tier following Saturday's play-off final triumph over Swindon and both midfielder Fuseini and striker Price have not been offered new deals. However, defender Darren Ward and midfielder Marc Laird have seen contracts put on the table to keep them at The Den. Loan players Liam Trotter, Jon Obika and Shaun Batt have all returned to their parent clubs following the conclusion of their deals. Meanwhile, top scorer Steve Morison is optimistic he can make an impact in the Championship next season despite playing for Stevenage in the Blue Square Premier as recently as 2008/09. Asked about his personal rise up the ranks, the Lions striker said: "You never think it's going to happen this quickly, you think maybe you're going to have to work at it each year. "I wanted to come to League One and I said as long as I could do it in League One then the next step is the Championship. "And that's what I'm aiming for next year, I'm aiming for another 20 goals in the Championship."
