Defender leaves Molineux for the Den

Millwall have completed the permanent signing of Darren Ward from Wolves after a successful loan spell. Ward, who made close to 150 appearances for the Lions between 2001 and 2005, has played 10 times since returning to the club on loan at the start of the season. Millwall were keen to keep the experienced defender and Wolves have allowed him to move as he does not figure in Mick McCarthy's first-team plans. "Darren has left us as of today (Friday) to move to the New Den," Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey told the club's official website. "We thank him for his services and wish him all the best."
