Paul Sturrock says he wants to sign keeper Peter Brezovan on a permanent basis.
Swindon boss Paul Sturrock has confirmed he wants to sign keeper Peter Brezovan on a permanent basis.
The giant keeper was signed on loan from FC Brno by former boss Dennis Wise in the summer.
He made an instant impact at The County Ground by saving two penalties on the first day of the season.
However, the giant Slovak keeper's season turned sour when he broke his arm in a fall in October.
Brezovan underwent surgery on the injury and Sturrock confirmed he would not risk recalling the stopper too early.
"Peter continues his recovery and hopefully he will be back in training with the first team before the end of the season, but we don't want to put him at any risk of a recurrence of the injury by forcing him into competitive action too early," Sturrock told the club's official website.
Sturrock also confirmed his intention to sign Brezovan on a permanent basis.
"He (Brezovan) will be a Swindon player next year so there will be plenty more to come from him I'm sure," added the Town boss.
