Peacock keen to sign

Swindon striker Lee Peacock is eager to sign a contract extension with the club.

Swindon striker Lee Peacock is eager to sign a contract extension with the club.

Peacock's current deal does not expire until the summer of 2008 but he insists he is ready to commit his long term future to The County Ground.

"I've got another year on my contract and hope for longer," he told the Swindon Advertiser.

"For me, I'd sign another contract now to stay here. I love everything about being here."

Although he left Sheffield Wednesday for Swindon more than 12 months ago Peacock has only just moved to Wiltshire, and he is hoping others will follow suit.

"A lot of the lads are now looking to move and once the contracts get sorted I think you'll find a lot more moving to the area," he said.

"If you're happy off the pitch it means you're happy on the pitch."
