Swindon Town striker Rory Fallon is to give the League One strugglers a boost by signing a new contract at The County Ground.

The 23-year-old has been in talks with the Wiltshire-based outfit over a new two-year deal, despite being linked with a move away from The Robins in January transfer window.

The former Barnsley hit-man believes he will put pen to paper on a new deal after Christmas.

"Talks have gone okay," Fallon told the Swindon Evening Advertiser. "I've spoken with the gaffer and things are looking good.

"It's not set in stone yet, but I should sign again after Christmas. Financially, everything is fine and I'm happy with what's been offered.

"The club originally wanted me to sign for another three years, but that's a long time and I'm not the sort of player who wants to go stale.

"There have been a few offers from elsewhere, but I've got to see what happens here and I want to stay. I'm happy here."
