Swindon Town  have opened talks with Sam Parkin's representatives about extending his stay at the County Ground.

The highly-rated striker has attracted the interest of a host of clubs after an impressive start to the season with The Robins.

Swindon chief executive Mark Devlin revealed that the club had not received any offers for the former Chelsea trainee, but that they were keen to tie him down to a new long-term deal.

"I am seeking a meeting with Sam's agent to discuss the offer," Devlin told the Swindon Evening Advertiser.

"We as a club want Sam to stay and I believe Sam feels the same way.

"Of course we are aware that his goals attract interest but we have not received a bid for him and are not looking to sell him."

Meanwhile, the club have received international clearance to sign French winger Sebastien Ruster.

The 21-year-old ace impressed Robins boss Andy King during a trial at the County Ground.
