Oliver Lancashire believes Walsall's recent bad spell is a result of over-confidence and his urged his team to bounce back quickly.
The Saddlers have slipped into the npower League One relegation zone after winning just one of their previous 14 league games.
Dean Smith's side only tasted defeat once in the league during the opening month of the season and Lancashire thinks they lost focus after that promising start.
"We have let ourselves down, especially after the first few games, and maybe we let it go to our heads a little bit after we played so well," the defender told the Express & Star.
"But the last few months haven't been acceptable and hopefully now we can start pushing on. We've got to make the Banks's a hard place to come and Charlton is the next home game."
