Wallsall manager Dean Smith was left bitterly disappointed after the Saddlers' heartbreaking 3-2 defeat at Sheffield United.
The visitors appeared destined to claim all three points at Bramall Lane when Kevan Hurst and Will Grigg netted quickfire efforts early in the second half.
But goals from Matthew Lowton, substitute Lee Williamson and a Richard Cresswell penalty ensured high-flying United claimed a third successive league victory.
Smith said: "I can't explain the result but I can take heart from the performance.
"We dominated and were in complete control until they got their first goal and that changed everything.
The manager has since urged his players to take plenty of positives from their performance.
"I've told the lads not to get too down about it, though. They should take pride in how they played."
