League Two Round-Up

Leaders Walsall are three points clear after a 2-0 win at Macclesfield Town.

Walsall are three points clear at the top of League Two after a 2-0 victory at struggling Macclesfield Town.

A Dean Keates penalty after just two minutes at Moss Rose sent Richard Money's side on their way to the win, with Keates claiming his second deep into injury time before the end.

The result leaves Paul Ince's side just outside the bottom two on goal difference.

Swindon Town lost ground on The Saddlers after being held to a 1-1 draw at Peterborough United.

After a goalless first half at London Road, Peter Gain (71) gave The Posh the lead before substitute Blair Sturrock (88) came off the bench to earn a point for The Robins.

A late strike from Liam Dickinson gave Stockport County a 1-0 victory at Wrexham and push The Hatters into the play-off places.

Barnet held Notts County to a 1-1 draw at Meadow Lane, with The Magpies taking the lead through a Lawrie Dudfield penalty (17).

However, Paul Fairclough's side earned a point after Nick Bailey (74) equalised for The Bees at Meadow Lane.

Hereford United came from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw at Bury.

The Shakers claimed a two-goal lead through goals from Richie Baker (29) and Glynn Hurst (58).

A Nicky Adams own-goal (63) pulled a goal back for The Bulls, and they went on to claim a point at Gigg Lane when Andy Williams (78) levelled for the visitors.

Finally, Mansfield Town heaped more misery on bottom club Torquay United with a 5-0 win at Field Mill.

Michael Boulding (14) started the rout for The Stags before former Torquay man Martin Gritton (pictured) claimed a hat-trick (39, 59, 77 penalty) against his old club.

Alex Baptiste (64) also found the scoresheet for Billy Dearden's side to leave The Gulls five points adrift of safety at the foot of the table.
