WIMBLEDON are preparing to open up talks with manager Stuart Murdoch about extending his stay with the Division One club.

Murdoch took charge from former boss Terry Burton last year and has kept the Dons tradition of defying the odds, by managing to get the results that keeps the South London club out of the relegation zone.

Koppell told the South London Press: "Stuart has done fantastically well and deserves a lot of credit for what he has achieved for the club."

Meanwhile the Dons chairman also said that despite Walsall's interest in winger Gareth Ainsworth, he has yet to receive any bid for the player: "They have consistently indicated to us they want to take him, but they have to put something serious to us to look at.

"They haven't done that."

Meanwhile the Crazy Gang will be without Lionel Morgan and Darren Holloway (both knee), and Gareth Ainsworth (suspended) for the trip to Wolves.

Joint-top goal-scorer David Connolly (hamstring) is rated as 50-50 for the clash.
