Hartlepool have confirmed the proposed takeover from TMH 2014 Limited has fallen through.

The club had announced back in December that majority stakeholders Increased Oil Recovery had agreed to sell its holding after 17 years in charge. TMH 2014 appointed Peter Harris as chairman shortly after and were influential in bringing manager Ronnie Moore to Victoria Park. However, IOR will now remain owners of the club. A brief statement on the official club's website read: "IOR and Hartlepool United announce that the proposed sale of IOR's shareholding in the club to TMH2014 Limited is no longer proceeding. "Ken Hodcroft remains chairman and Russ Green continues as CEO. "The club will not be making any further comments."
