Former Hartlepool defender Gary Liddle has joined Notts County on a two-year contract.
Liddle was a free agent after rejecting the offer of a new deal at the Magpies' League One rivals Hartlepool following six years at Victoria Park.
The 26-year-old began his career at his hometown club Middlesbrough and won the FA Youth Cup with the Teessiders in 2004.
He becomes the third new arrival at Meadow Lane this summer after striker Enoch Showunmi and goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski.
