Walton to miss season finale

Plymouth midfielder Simon Walton will miss the final two games of the League Two season with a dislocated shoulder.

Walton sat out the 1-1 draw with Oxford at Home Park on Saturday, which secured the Pilgrims' Football League survival, with the injury which he picked up in a training-ground collision with striker Steve Fletcher on Friday. And the Argyle captain will not be available to manager Carl Fletcher for the remainder of the campaign. Walton told the Plymouth Herald: "It was just one of those training ground incidents. I have had a bit of a weak shoulder in the past and I have had a few operations on it. Big Fletch came in from the back of me and I just fell awkwardly. "I knew straight away something wasn't right. I haven't broken my collarbone or anything like that, but I think I have dislocated it (collarbone) nine times now so I know when it's done. "Touch wood, it was just a straight forward dislocation and it will be all right next season."
