Hartlepool striker Adam Boyd wants to finish his career at his hometown club.
The 29-year-old looked to be heading out of Victoria Park at the end of last season but having penned a new deal at the club, he has started the new season in fine style by scoring four goals and is the league's third top scorer.
"I said when I signed two years ago my view was to spend the rest of my career here," he told the Hartlepool Mail. "I said to my missus and the family that we're coming home now and this is it.
"So I've got to keep on working hard because the aim is still to make it last until I'm 35.
"This is where I want to play my football. It's my hometown team and that makes it extra special when we're doing well and you're in the side.
"I'm loving it right now and long may that continue."
