Colin Larkin may have played his way into Hartlepool's starting line-up against leaders Brighton this weekend.
The Irish forward came on after an hour against Colchester on Saturday and made an immediate impact.
Antony Sweeney's 11th goal of the season secured a 1-0 victory for the hosts, but Larkin's impressive cameo did not go unnoticed.
"Colin Larkin came on and his pace was put to good use," said Pools boss Mick Wadsworth. "His arrival gave us a lift."
