Swindon pulled within six points of Walsall at the top of League Two, while at the bottom Torquay lost again.

Leaders Walsall slipped to a 2-1 defeat away at Mansfield, despite taking the lead through Ian Roper after nine minutes.

Barry Conlon brought the game level (14) and Martin Gritton scored the winner on 57 minutes.

Swindon closed the gap at the top to six points with a 3-1 away victory over Boston United.

Christian Roberts (pictured) opened the scoring after ten minutes but The Robins' lead was short-lived as Bradley Thomas levelled things up (17).

But second-half goals from Michael Pook (59) and Blair Sturrock (88) ensured the points went to Swindon.

Macclesfield continued their revival under Paul Ince with a 3-0 win over the ten men of Hereford.

After Andy Ferrell had been sent off, a Kevin McIntyre penalty (17) and John Murphy's brace (61, 83) secured the points for the home side.

Torquay continue to struggle after losing 5-2 at Notts County.

Junior Mendes gave County the lead (25), but the visitors were soon ahead thanks to goals from Stephen Cooke (25) and Ryan Dickson (35).

Jay Smith restored parity (39) and Andy Parkinson scored the home side's third soon after.

Jason Lee struck twice late on (83, 90) as Torquay fell further adrift at the bottom.

Peterborough were beaten 3-0 at home by Stockport, Anthony Elding (20), Michael Rose (30) and Adam Griffin (90) scoring the visitors' goals.

Clive Platt scored a hat-trick (12, 67, 72) as Milton Keynes Dons ran out 3-1 winners against Barnet, whose goal came from Simon King (27).

Bury and Lincoln drew 2-2 at Gigg Lane in a topsy-turvy encounter.

The hosts were ahead early through Andy Bishop but Jamie Forrester levelled things up (37) and Lee Frecklington put The Imps in front (73).

But John Fitzgerald claimed a point for Bury with ten minutes remaining.

Wrexham drew 1-1 with Hartlepool after Chris Llewellyn (64) cancelled out Richie Barker's ninth minute strike.

Wycombe's game against Accrington Stanley also ended level, the goals coming from Kevin Betsy (59) and Jay Harris (63).

Darlington were grateful for an 83rd minute goal from Tim Ryan for their 1-0 win at Grimsby.

Bristol Rovers and Chester City played out a 0-0 draw at The Memorial Stadium.
