Hartlepool United have submitted an appeal to the Football Association in a bid to have Jon Daly's red card at Chester overturned.
Pools boss Danny Wilson felt the club's eight-goal top scorer was harshly treated by referee Andy Woolmer, who adjudged that Daly had elbowed Chester's David Artell.
Wilson has studied video evidence which he believes should clear his player and has sent the footage to The FA.
Daly will learn his fate later this week. A three-game ban would rule him out of this week's derby against Darlington plus the visit of Barnet and the subsequent trip to Accrington.
