L2 Team of the Week

Image: Kelvin Langmead: Scored and set up another as Northampton romped to win

Sky Sports selects the best of the bunch from the latest round of League One fixtures.

Team of the week

Lee Nicholls - Northampton
Nicholls pulled off a string of fine saves between the sticks as Northampton claimed a 3-0 home win over Exeter to end a two-game losing streak, including a super block late on as Jamie Cureton came close to clawing one back for the visitors.
Matt Fish - Gillingham
The Gills romped to a comprehensive 4-0 home win over struggling Aldershot and right-back Fish was in solid form to help his side to the triumph. The stopper was a dependable presence at the back while also getting forward with some dangerous deliveries.
Kelvin Langmead - Northampton
Captain Langmead was the star of Northampton's home success, helping the Cobblers keep a clean sheet while also scoring their second goal. The defender hit home with a well-placed header on 39 minutes before setting up Alex Nicholls for the third late on.
Ryan Cresswell - Southend
Southend were another side to keep a clean sheet as they triumphed 3-0 at Rotherham and Cresswell was key to keeping things tight at the back. The stopper, a former Millers player, prevented his old side from building anything in attack as the Shrimpers left with the three points.
Kevin Nicholson - Torquay
Torquay held firm at home to Accrington Stanley to secure a 3-1 home win and Nicholson was part of the defence that kept the visitors at bay. The defender played a pivotal role at the back while also firing in an 80th minute corner which Lee Mansell nodded home at the far post for the home side's third.
Bruno Andrade - Wycombe
Wycombe needed just one goal to triumph away at Fleetwood and it was Andrade that provided the winner in only the ninth minute. On what was his full debut for Wanderers the 19-year-old, on loan from QPR, slotted home a Stuart Lewis pass from inside the box.
Luke Young - Plymouth
Young contributed an impressive showing as Plymouth took apart Barnet 4-1 at Underhill. The teenager drew the foul that led to Rhys Griffiths' opener from the spot then crowned his afternoon with a late goal, firing a free-kick home in stoppage-time.
Ashley Vincent - Port Vale
Vincent was lively throughout Port Vale's 3-0 home victory over Oxford and saw his efforts rewarded in the form of a 51st-minute goal, clipping home from the tightest of angles to hand the home side their second of the night.
Jack Redshaw - Morecambe
A goal in each half was enough to hand Morecambe a 2-1 triumph at Rochdale and in-form Redshaw was on target with both strikes, running onto a Kevin Ellison lay-off to fire home after nine minutes before applying a cool finish at the far post after the break to take his tally this season to five.
Britt Assombalonga - Southend
The teenage frontman, on loan from Watford, netted a second-half brace as the Shrimpers triumphed at Rotherham, nodding home a David Martin cross before firing into the top corner from a Sean Clohessy ball 14 minutes later.
Sam Williams - Dagenham & Redbridge
The Daggers seized a 2-1 success at Chesterfield to mark their first away win of the season and Williams was on target with a crucial double, firing the visitors ahead before the break then adding the winner after Jack Lester had equalised for the Spireites.
