Alex Lynch was labelled 'unbelievable' by Wycombe team-mate Steven Craig after making his professional debut at Plymouth.

The 20-year-old was thrown into the deep end for the first leg of their play-off semi-final with the Greens and he played his part in a 3-2 away win, much to the delight of striker Craig.

Plymouth rallied late on at Home Park to set up a thrilling second leg of their League 2 play-off semi-final against Wycombe at Adams Park

"I'm proud as punch," he told the Bucks Free Press. "I love the kid to bits, he's a massive member of the squad and he's a great kid.

"To make his first senior start and the way he conducted himself was just unbelievable. He's got a really bright future in the game."
