Baker: Changes would be needed

Cheltenham chairman Paul Baker admits jobs will be lost if the Robins drop out of the Football League.

Back-to-back defeats since Gary Johnson's arrival mean the club sit rock-bottom with just five games to go and Baker admits the financial loss of relegation will hit hard. "If we were relegated, it's a massive blow and there will be some huge changes at the club, but life goes on," he told BBC Radio Gloucestershire. "Without question people would lose jobs all over the football club, we'd have to trim down the management team, some of the other administration-type jobs would go. We'd have to look at all aspects of the business, though I'm hopeful we'd be able to retain the academy and training facility. "But if we do go down, we'll come back."
