Reid eyes 'mini league' victory

Reuben Reid has targeted winning Plymouth's mini-league to clinch a play-off place.

The Pilgrims are seventh in League Two following a 3-0 win at Cheltenham at the weekend. Reid scored twice at Whaddon Road as Argyle moved into the final play off spot with seven games left and the striker is looking to keep it. He said: "It's now effectively a mini-league of around five teams, really. There's Exeter, then Northampton, Newport and Stevenage. "Anyone with any sense would see that those are the teams we are competing against, so we're probably looking out for their results. "I think we have just got to win as many games as possible and try to put ourselves in there." John Sheridan's side have won just two of their last seven games and face Burton and Portsmouth over Easter and Reid is confident they can rediscover some consistency. "We go into next weekend with two massive games in the space of four days, including probably my favourite game of the season you can be involved in with the Pompey game," he told the club's official site. "The following we will have - and with it being on a Bank Holiday - will make it a massive event, for sure. "I've always been confident from the off-set, even at times that we were not playing so well."
