Moore: Still work to be done

Ronnie Moore urged his Hartlepool players not to relax after they climbed out of the drop zone with a 2-1 win over Cambringe..

Scott Harrison's first professional goal secured Pools' fourth on the spin. Centre-back Harrison fired home a stunning second-half volley after Matt Harrold had cancelled out Brad Walker's opener. The result leaves Moore's men a point clear of the bottom two - although the boss knows plenty of hard work lies ahead. He admitted: "It's been fantastic, the joy at the end is good but we've not achieved anything yet. "We're out of the bottom two and it looked three weeks ago like it wouldn't happen. "All praise to the lads, they've chased and harried and we have earned the results that have gone for us." Despite guarding against complacency, Moore - whose side were nine points adrift at one stage - conceded that he will enjoy the feeling of being clear of the relegation spots. "We are off the bottom, it's a great lift for everyone," he added. "I will enjoy my pint tonight." Opposite number Richard Money warned Cambridge are in danger of being dragged into the battle at the bottom if they do not stop an alarming slump soon. "We played against a fiercely committed group who have turned a corner, are on a good run and have found some momentum," he said. "We found it very difficult to cope with. The team who deserved to win the game won it. We were second best. "But we have to go again next week. That's all we can do. We have to just make sure we are a lot better next week. "We are still fighting for points and we still need some to make sure we are absolutely safe. Friday's the next opportunity to get them." Money is confident his squad has enough leaders to arrest a run of just one win in 16 games. "We have got to rebuild people's confidence," he added. "It has obviously been affected by the run we're on. "But we have got to get the players sticking together. I think we have a lot of big characters; we've shown that for two years."
