Moore calls for support

Ronnie Moore has encouraged the north east public to make the most of the international break and watch Hartlepool this weekend.

Pools are putting up a real fight to stay in the Football League and three points against Cambridge on Saturday could see them climb off the bottom of the table. Standing ticket prices have been cut to £10 in a bid to attract a bumper crowd and boss Moore is delighted with that move on the back of their 1-0 win over Mansfield last weekend. "It's another great gesture from the chairman and hopefully we'll get another good response because the way the fans got behind us on Saturday went a long way to helping us get the result," he told the Northern Echo. "I know it's an international weekend too so if there are Middlesbrough, Sunderland or Newcastle fans out there at a loose end then come and get behind us trying to keep this north east club in the league. "It's a great opportunity for as many fans as possible to come along and join us, hopefully see a good game of football and, most importantly, cheer us on to the three points."
