York have recalled Dave Winfield from his loan spell with League Two rivals AFC Wimbledon.
The 26-year-old defender only extended his stay at Kingsmeadow on Monday, but his parent club have now exercised their right to bring him back. City boss Russ Wilcox opted to recall Winfield after Stephane Zubar joined his side's injury list during the 1-0 home defeat by Bury on Tuesday. Winfield made seven appearances during his stint with the Dons.
