Wilder hopeful on Holmes

Northampton boss Chris Wilder is hopeful Ricky Holmes will make a swift recovery from a knee injury.

The midfielder will miss out on Tuesday's League Two visit of Carlisle after reporting swelling on the knee. He will have a scan and joins 17-goal top scorer Marc Richards, who has an Achilles injury, on the sidelines. "We've had two major set-backs with Marc Richards and Ricky but hopefully the results from the scan will not be too severe and we can get Ricky back as soon as possible," Wilder told the club's official site. "We realise he's been a major part for us. "To lose your leading goalscorer and the league's leading goalscorer is another big blow. We're going to have to get over it. "We have got over disappointment this year in other things and we're going to have to do it again. It's not going to be an easier place without those two."
