Oxford have signed Alex McDonald from League Two rivals Burton for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old Scot, who has played for the likes of Burnley, Plymouth and Inverness, has penned a two-and-a-half year deal, with the option of a further year. "He scores his fair share of goals but he is also a very hard worker, very tenacious, and has that little bit of quality about him," boss Michael Appleton told the club's official website. "He will give us options going forward and I think he will be a very good signing for this club."
