Accrington have parted company with academy coach Keith Brown by mutual consent.

The former Blackburn and Barnsley player joined the club a year ago but has decided to pursue other options. Stanley chairman Peter Marsden told the club website: "It is with regret that I announce the leaving of Keith Brown as Academy Manager to allow Keith to pursue a career coaching and managing in adult football. "Keith was the architect of one of the greatest cup performances in the history of Accrington Stanley, the youth team's success against West Ham in the FA Youth Cup. "Keith also played a prominent role in the nurturing of Connor Mahoney's talent, which subsequently led to Connor's move to Blackburn Rovers. We wish Keith good fortune." Brown added: "It has been a privilege to work with the group of young players and coaches at the football club who have bought in to my ambitions for them. "I am proud of their achievements and wish them and the football club all the very best for the future."
