Cheltenham manager Mark Yates said his team's response to falling behind was the key to their 2-1 home victory over Bury.
They hit back quickly after Clive Platt's opener for the visitors with Ashley Vincent and Byron Harrison grabbing the goals and Yates was delighted with the character on show, especially after Tuesday's 4-1 drubbing at the hands of Chesterfield. "It's a priceless three points for us and I thought we got what we deserved, the lads showed tremendous character after Tuesday night," he said. "I don't think Scott Brown (goalkeeper) has had a shot to save. Their system gets them on the ball, but we stuck at it and the reason we won is the way we responded to going behind. "It was a poor goal to concede, but to score so quickly told me a lot about the players and I am happy for them. "We cleared the air on Wednesday morning and the boys showed their spirit. Jermaine McGlashan was a constant threat when we got him in the game and Byron Harrison came on and made a real difference. "Ashley Vincent was good throughout and there were lots of good things."
