Oxford United caretaker manager Mickey Lewis hopes to add some new recruits to the squad before the transfer window closes.
The U's squad has been stretched with injuries to the likes of captain Jake Wright, striker Dave Kitson and winger Alfie Potter, and Lewis revealed he is confident despite recruitment frustrations.
"We are still working on some new faces," he said.
"I said last week that it is frustrating and these things take a lot longer than people imagine, there are a lot of things to go through, but hopefully."
The United players were throwing their bodies on the line to earn a 0-0 draw with Exeter and Lewis admits two games in four days means they will take it easy in the build-up to the weekend.
"We will probably have an easier Thursday with the heavy pitch, games coming up and the long trip," he said.
"But it will be back to work with a few light sessions and they'll be ready to go again on Saturday."
