Beech praises 'flying' Dale

Image: Chris Beech: Plenty of positives

Assistant boss Chris Beech praised in-form Rochdale for another professional display following their 3-0 win over Plymouth.

Goals from Jamie Allen, Ian Henderson and Michael Rose handed Keith Hill's side the points and lifted the home team up to second in the League Two table. Argyle had to play the last 40 minutes with just 10 men after Andres Gurrieri was sent off for elbowing Jack O'Connell in the face. Beech said: "The team are flying at the minute and the lads can take great professional pride from keeping five clean sheets in their last six games. They were very good." And Beech, who used to run the youth team at Spotland, reserved special praise for one of his former pupils, Allen, scorer of the opening goal. "Jamie is brilliant, he's a great lad and he's consistent on a daily basis," said Beech. "He's still a little bit introverted in his personality but as he grows through his first season as a professional he is starting to get on the goals chart."
