Torquay's new assistant manager Lee Hodges believes he will be playing the good cop role at Plainmoor.
The former Truro boss was unveiled as Chris Hargreaves' deputy last week and Hodges, who played for the Gulls between 2008 and 2010, knows the new managerial duo will compliment each other.
"I am most definitely the good cop," he joked. "I am sure it will go both ways. It is a new challenge for me but one I am really looking forward to.
"Me and Chrissy both work alike. I think it'll be a really great relationship and hopefully we can take all the hard graft on he training pitch onto the pitch.
"I had a little sniff of being a manger but in the non-league side of it and any help I can give Chris along the way is great. In training we have been always discussing things and what we should be doing."
