Plymouth Argyle have signed Crystal Palace winger Jason Banton on a permanent deal.

The 21-year-old returns to Home Park after a hugely successful loan spell last season which saw him play a crucial role in Argyle's survival in League Two. His arrival in Devon comes after a loan spell with MK Dons which saw him make 14 starts, the last of which came on December 7 when he was took off at half-time during the League One club's 1-0 win over Dover in the FA Cup. Banton, who becomes the first player to transfer to the Pilgrims from another club for nearly four years, will be available for Saturday's clash with Southend but not their FA Cup third-round replay with Port Vale on Tuesday night due to that first-round appearance.
