Manager Wayne Burnett praised his Dagenham & Redbridge squad following the 1-0 home win over AFC Wimbledon.

Abu Ogogo's goal gave the Daggers a winning start to 2014 but they finished the game with 10 men after Lawson D'Ath was sent off early in the second half. A delighted Burnett said: "I thought our group, and I say group because it wasn't just the 11 it was the whole group, were absolutely fantastic. "I thought they worked incredibly hard. Did we play great? No, but I thought they were good, Wimbledon, I've got to be honest and I thought our players showed great character, great desire and I was absolutely delighted. "We're missing two or three key players, but that's why we've got a squad and this group never ceases to amaze me." The only goal of the match came from a move that pleased the manager. He added: "I thought it was a very good goal. Certainly in the first half I think we should have maybe had another or even two, but they looked dangerous."
